Projects
The first year will be a "work in progress." We will experiment with various ideas and exhibits to see what resonates with our community. Our initial plans include:

Exhibits
We will showcase different facets of Live Oak through engaging displays. Our first exhibit will feature large photographs highlighting some interesting and lesser-known facts about Live Oak. The second exhibit, titled "Surfing in Live Oak," will explore the 20 surfboard manufacturers from Live Oak during the 1960s and 70s. We will display locally made surfboards and identify local surf spots.

Talks
We will host discussions led by local residents, focusing on specific aspects of Live Oak's history.

School Involvement
We will feature exhibits and displays generated by local schools. Involving our youth is a central aim of our group.
Beyond this, we invite the community to help decide future exhibits. Options could include a showcase of Live Oak paintings from over the years or contributions from the birding community, featuring photographs of local wildlife.
